Things to be mindful of While Buying a Domain Name Part 2

Try as much as possible to keep things simple and remember to use the characteristics of a domain name here, i.e a name that is easy to remember and a brandable name. Also try and stay away from hyphenated names, again the goal is something people can easily remember. Think about the fact that someone may hear about your site from a friend or article and may not have a chance to write it down. If it's something easy to remember chances are better that they will still be able to find it later.

Okay, let's say that you are going to be selling dog lesson videos, then your domain name could be something like doglessonvideos.com or for a better still, doglessons.com. Remember you want that domain name that is going to let people know what your site is about or what you are offering. This is going to be your web identity so you certainly want to get it right and build your site around your identity.

Now if you have an idea for a domain name you can do a search on the net (there are dozens of search options for this) find a domain name search and type in the name you have picked out. It will tell you if it is available or not.

Now also keep in mind that you may not be able to find the exact name that you have picked out since it may already be taken. There are already so many names out there you might have to settle for something close or just a little different from what you originally came up with. However when you do a search it will recommend similar names that you can choose from.

Now when you do a search for your domain name it may also say that (example) yourdomainname.com is already registered to someone else but some domain extensions to domain name are available like, yourdomainname.net or .org is available. And you may choose to go that route but I would suggest staying with a ".com" name even if you have to use something slightly different from what you wanted. After all we all know by now that ".com" is that most recognized on the web today.

KNOWING THE DOs AND DONTs OF DOMAIN NAME

More things to know apart from registering your domain name Registering and parking of domain name(s) can be seeing as simple as reading English alphabets, but there's more to it. Registering and parking domain name(s) is one thing, and another thing what you intend to do with your domains. In domain names business, you can be a wise owner as in the case of a wise owner in land/properties(as in real estate) who owns a certain plots/ acres of land and keep for a certain number of Years before selling it. Am sure he/she will never sell the land  the same amount he/she bought it. This same strategy also applicable to domain names as well, you can register your domain today, keep for a period of time and later sell or develop it(build website around it.)

Google Adds Conversational Search In Latest Chrome Build, We Go Voice On

Google has updated Chrome in build 27 to include conversational voice search, a feature it demoed on stage at Google I/O this year that allows you to search by voice, but also transcribes your queries in real time and lets you use natural language, asking Google straightforward questions and getting straightforward answers, both read back to you by dictation and in actual Google search results. The transcription feature is awesome, since you can actually watch Google try to anticipate what you’re going to say and then adapt in real time to the right query. So far in my testing, it hasn’t gotten anything wrong; this isn’t the clumsy voice input of five years ago that got things wrong as often as it got them right. Having it understand natural queries is also very cool, and for the first time, you get a sense that this is what we all imagined something like AskJeeves was meant to be, but good and effective. Questions that are easily answerable generally are. As...
