KNOWING THE DOs AND DONTs OF DOMAIN NAME

More things to know apart from registering your domain name

Registering and parking of domain name(s) can be seeing as simple as reading English alphabets, but there's more to it. Registering and parking domain name(s) is one thing, and another thing what you intend to do with your domains.
In domain names business, you can be a wise owner as in the case of a wise owner in land/properties(as in real estate) who owns a certain plots/ acres of land and keep for a certain number of Years before selling it. Am sure he/she will never sell the land  the same amount he/she bought it. This same strategy also applicable to domain names as well, you can register your domain today, keep for a period of time and later sell or develop it(build website around it.)

By this you can be sure that the domain(s) in question will never go for the same amount you bought it.....

Keeping your domain name(s) to become a goldmine

You might be thinking that how do i keep my domain name when am not a company to do that. don't worry, you will understand me in no time.
Let's look at it from this angle, you pick a good, simple and short name which is laser targeted, this i mean targeting certain or specific group of people or product, you can afford to just register it and fold your arms to watch the domain vanishes away, because if you registered a domain and after say like 1 year it has not generated anything for you in terms of revenue, you will quickly and immediately let go of it after the expiry period. Waste of cash and time.
Unless you build website around  your domain. Building and having a personal website is a good thing, infact a good and fast way for you to reach the world and the world in return. That will be another topic.
So after registering your domain name and you are not ready to build a website around it, the next and best thing for you to do is to park that domain for you to be getting clicks on it to generate a reasonable revenue whenever clicks is made on it.

DEFINITION AND MEANING OF DOMAIN NAMES

What did you really understand by DOMAIN? What is a Domain Name? A domain name is any name that you can point to a server. Thus! google.com , yahoo.com ,  ebay.com are all examples of domain names. * A Domain name can also be called a website address after it has been pointed to a server. e.g.  www.google.com is an example of a domain name that has been pointed to a server. Also, a domain name can

Generic Names Or Brand Name Domains?

I know that a number of people seem to think that your domain name really must be some generic name like "cars.com" if you are selling cars. Witness, for example, how much money those generic names are being sold for. But seriously, if you were looking for a car, you'll probably already have some brands in mind, and you're more like to try out things like generalmotors.com or toyota.com rather than just cars.com. For that reason, I personally feel that a domain name that matches your brand name is very important. The very name that you use to advertise your product is the name that you will want for your domain, because that is the first thing that people will try in their browser. It is also the easiest thing for them to remember, and whatever that is easily remembered, will be more likely to be tried out than the obscure domain name..... http://www.googlegister.com
